Suzy Ismail was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers with a degree in Communication, English, and Middle Eastern Studies. After college, she worked at Johnson & Johnson while pursuing her Master's Degree in Communication and Information Studies. She taught for over fifteen years at Rutgers University and at DeVry University as a Visiting Professor in Communication and currently works as a student adviser at a local high school. She is also the Founder and Head Communication Counselor at Cornerstone Counseling.
In addition to her teaching and counseling, Suzy is also completing her PhD in Human Services with a focus on Family Studies & Intervention, and is a sought after public speaker who specializes in educating the public on issues related to Islam and the Muslim community. She currently lives in Princeton with her husband and three children.
